Thanks to Stanford
Thanks to the Neurosurgery team, at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Dr. Edwards, Dr. Guzman and Dr. Chao. You made Matthew and the rest of our family feel so comfortable before and after the surgery and it helped ease our pain a bit. Thanks for the incredible job, removing Matthew’s tumor and giving us a great chance to fight the cancer. Thanks to the entire team who helped Matthew, I apologize I don’t have everyone’s name. Thanks to Matt’s Radiation Oncology team, Dr. Gibbs, Dr. Chin, Elaine, Karen and the rest of the team, for making Matt feel so comfortable when he receives his treatments. This is all very overwhelming for all of us, but you all bring a little comfort to us, with your great personalities.
Thanks to Matt’s Neuro-Oncology team, Dr. Paul Fisher and PNP. Trish Murphy, for all you do. You both have been very helpful explaining what’s going on and helping us understand this whole ordeal. Matt feels very comfortable with both of you and we appreciate that. Trish, thanks for putting up with all our calls and questions.
Thanks to our Social Worker Karen Greenwald, for being there and helping us through this and having such a caring attitude. Thanks to Jacob, with Child Life Services, for being there not only for Matt, but also Michael and Hannah.
We know this is going to be a long and hard battle, but we will get through it. Everyone at Stanford, starting from the moment we got there on February 28, 2008, has been extremely kind. We are so fortunate to be able to have Matthew at a place where people care so much and are so passionate about what they do.
Thanks again to everyone at Stanford, we really appreciate your kindness.
